Kids' Creative Contests: Chocolate Box

The kids have another contest. They are now finishing up the blueprints. A bit backwards, I know, but it works. 😄 I will send in their entries tomorrow. The deadline is Sunday at noon.

I want to share their creativity with all of you. This is youngest to oldest. Cardboard box, beet juice/rose petal ice box, wooden box, snow box. A minimum of 6 goodies was required. Goodies made: Eatmore balls, chocolate dipped mints, haystacks, dark chocolate banana truffles, chocolate rose truffles, easy cream cheese truffles, chocolate almond truffles.

That beet/rose petal one is soooo pretty. What a great job on the snow box, so that the colour didn't bleed.

The results are in. Of course, it is an open contest province-wide, with 3 categories according to grade level groups. The prizes are cash this time around. First is $60, 2nd is $40, 3rd is $25.

The blue box & wooden box got 3rd. The beet ice box and the snow box got 1st.

The younger brother beat his older for the second time. Haha. I think that's great!

If anyone wants recipes, we can pass them along. Just let us know what interests you most & I'll post them in recipes. They were all tasty. Although, even though the banana one was tasty, the texture was kind of, well, a little too smushed banana-like.
