Sahara sand in Austrian Alps

It has been lasting for several days. Cars, window sills, etc slowly turn Sahara red. And I live in the Austrian Alps, not somewhere near to Africa. There used to be reports about Sahara sand storms and dust on the Alps, but the sand stayed somewhere high on mountain tops. Now we are sitting in a dust cloud. The sun cannot break through. And there is no rain in the nearest future. This is a new experience for me. Another proof that we are one world. What happens at one end of the world one feels or sees or experiences at the other.
