I have read of that before @judsoncarroll4, but haven't tried it. It's pretty wierd but cool.

I haven't tried it either. There is a permaculture chicken lady who does that before she kills her birds by cutting an artery. They don't even react.

I've seen it. It's a nice way to harvest a chicken without stressing the bird.

I've used the sternum stroking to calm down my chickens when I was going to harvest them.
