I've never used Aesculus species in herbal medicine. They don't grow near me, although Horse Chestnut grows on the southwest coast of BC.
I have used it homeopathically, though. Very common remedy for hemorrhoids and varicose veins.

It has a lot of folk use in my region - extremely common, weedy type tree that tends to grow in landscaping bushes and is a real pain. Not matter how many times you cut it down to the ground, it will grow back. You have to ring the bark to kill it. But, I have not had need of it medicinally.
