I had my first tick bit today.😓 It was on me for less than 24 hours and now it is in a sandwich bag to live out its remaining hours.

@torey Tick paralysis must be one of those things that depends on region. I have several friends and family who have had Lyme, but I know no one who has experienced tick paralysis.

@VermontCathy It depends on the tick species for your area and which bacteria, spriochetes, neurotoxins, etc. that they might produce or be carrying. Ticks that carry Lyme have been found in southern BC but none in my area or further north. That could easily change with the differing weather patterns and likelihood of bug transportation to other areas. Tick paralysis is something that everyone in my area is aware of and it makes us all quite conscientious about searching our bodies after being out during tick season.
