Have you ever watched a primrose flower unfold.
We are in a heat period, thus I prefer earlier morning and late evening hours in the garden. Yesterday, while I was drinking my evening herbal tea, the primrose flowers started unfolding. First one petal and then the whole flower. And one after another. Fascinating. Not speaking of the pleasant scent.
I collect some of primrose flowers for cough teas, but my main interest is in the seeds which I collect in late Autumn. I simply chew them and get my primrose oil in such a simple way.
unfortunately, the system did not allow me to attach
a short video and I could not find out how to change the format, thus only a photo of an unfolded flower.

@jowitt.europe I think the only way is to record a video & upload it to YouTube, Rumble, or other video hosting platforms, then share the link here.

I haven’t seen any Primrose yet I have watched Peony unfold.
-
That's so cool! I have only seen a passion flower open (it literally pops lol).

@SuperC does peony unfold fast? I never watched it. What a good idea. I love peonies and their scent. Do they unfold in the morning or during the day. What time of the day did you see it unforl?
@Cornelius unfortunately I do not have a Passion flower. I would love to see one unfold.

Wow, that is really cool!

@jowitt.europe Peonies unfold after the sun has risen during day hours. I have single petaled peony and ruffled peony. The latter is similar to the ruffled carnation. Nice to watch the unfolding.

I have never taken the time to watch flowers unfold. This is probably not for lack of opportunity. I am always so busy I forgot to stop and enjoy the small things. It really is something I should get better about.
@jowitt.europe thanks for reminding me about the simple things.

@SuperC I have to note it for the next early summer. Watching peonies unfold!
@Michelle D I know what you mean. During the day I very seldom stop and watch. But, with age I am better. Sometimes, during the day I just lie down in my garden and just watch.

@Michelle D You are a lucky one to get that garden-laying time. I bet yours are beautiful
