The perils of being an author....

Wow, writing a cookbook is not to be recommended if you want to lose weight! Fortunately, I have no need to diet. But, I just wrote a chapter on chicken parm and fried chicken... and I am drooling!!!!!!!!

When should I be expecting to purchase your new cookbook? That sounds like it will be a good one.
-
The plan is to get this one finished by Oct... it will be as eccentric as you would expect from me!
-
I would be disappointed if it was anything less 😉
-
@judsoncarroll4 What software are you using?
-
MS Word to write

I have another question @judsoncarroll4. Are you going to give a brief history of, or a note of the regional importance of any of the recipes? A page here and there linking the recipes to these things might be a good alternative too, rather than just a note with a recipe.
One Mennonite recipe book that I have is set up in this way, with a note of historical importance and such. I could send you screenshots through pm if you'd like to see what I mean. It makes the recipe book more valuable, in my opinion.

Yes, I am giving quite a bit of regional history in regard t the development of the recipes. This one if very much in narrative form.

@judsoncarroll4 oh my---Can't wait!!! I'm drooling, just thinking about it! October, I'm ready!
-
Thanks!

I have been wanting a @judsoncarroll4 cookbook for over a year. What's a few more months lol!
-
It is coming along... 100 pages or so written so far.
-
Oh my goodness -- YUM!
-
I can’t wait!

Buying a lot of cookbooks is not recommended for weight loss either!
But you know what they say -- who wants to see a skinny cook? :-)
-
I'm happy to be a bit beefy as a cook!
-
I have to admit that writing a cookbook is somewhat addictive. My strength as a cook has always been taste memory - I can taste whatever I think of and combine flavors in my head. Writing this book is like a feast!
-
Lots of pages = lots of recipes! I'm even more excited now! 😂
-
The more you tell us the more interested I am! It sounds like a wonderful book. Looking forward to it.
-
Thanks! I'm working on the fish section now... wow, there are not only "a lot of fish in the sea," but a whole lot in streams, ponds and lake, too!
-
Judson, you need to come fishing with us in Alaska sometime. Combat fishing on the rivers and creeks, ocean fishing you can catch halibut as big as an old Buick. lol

-
I finished the chapter on freshwater fish today - I have some awesome trout recipes! Covered a lot of other fish, too. Cured salmon, smoked catfish, fired bluegill and perch.... bowfin a la Creole, carp or buffalo carp in sauce piquant.... dozens more

I don't know if I'll be able to wait until October with all this delectable food being mentioned.😋 My stomach is growling.☺️
