Need a minute to vent
This is an article about my friends grandson who was murdered on January 27, 2019. The young man who did it said at the time... He wanted to see what it felt like to kill someone."
There have been many delays and stall tactics used by the murderers lawyers. Many times they were "supposed" to go to court and the family got themselves ready for the trauma of reliving the details of Gunnar's murder each time only to have it postponed time and time again. They are supposed to sentence him on the 26th. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.
I pray the courts will finally do their jobs and not decide to let him get away with this. I know that is not a charitable attitude, but this family has suffered so much... His grandfather did not live to see justice done. He past away recently from cancer, leaving the family to deal with this while they are grieving for Jame's loss as well.

@vickeym I'm so sorry to hear this tragic news, especially grievous in the senseless loss of life. I can't imagine the heartbreak and suffering the family must be going through. Praying for unity of support, love, and strength to surround the family in their grief and suffering, and may justice prevail.

@vickeym That would be extremely surreal to live through. I agree with your sentiment.
I will pray for the family. How very difficult.

I can't imagine the pain he has caused. I hope justice finally prevails and that everyone in the family is able to start working towards peace.

Its terrible and heartbreaking to lose a young person for any reason but senselessness like this only makes it so much more tragic.
The reason the murderer gave for his actions is not uncommon. I have heard this statement before in other cases. What a selfish action, to take a life to just see what it feels like. I wonder about the warning signs.
And the situation made all that much more worse by the court systems, delaying justice. Its no different here in Canada. Murder (and other) trials go on for so long. It can be years before the families can move forward.

My [rays are with you and the family.

Thank you all. I will let the family know there are folks all over the world praying for them.

@vickeym This is absolutely terrible. People like this don't really belong in society as they lack the ability to care about another living thing. Locking him up forever is a start! I will pray for healing and justice!
