Medicinal Trees: Fraxinus, Ash

I didn't think we had any ash trees here in BC but I discovered, via my plant atlas, that we do have a native species here. Although, it is quite rare and only found in the extreme southwest of the province in a high climate zone. Likely 8 or 9. Its the Oregon Ash, Fraxinus latifolia.
F. exclesior seems to be hardier and grows in climates to zone 6 so it may escape cultivation in those areas where it has been planted as a landscape specimen.
Sounds like a great medicinal to have on hand.

It really is not all that common here, either, even though we have 4 natives.
