Ways with corn
I am getting old corn. Some is still useable but I am not much of a corn fan to begin with.
But the chickens are in heaven and I am saving the husks for crafting.
So far i have plans for corn husk wreaths, corn husk dolls (so much fun to make) and corn husk flower.
I have torn the dried husks in to strips before and weaved with them.
What other idea do you have for old corn uses?

I have some young kids who might like craft ideas. The youngest was recently taught how to do corn husk dolls and she loves it. They are very basic ones with not much shape, lol but she is proud of them. I told her they are great!
I'm watching this thread, as our corn has just ripened. We just had our first taste last night. I guess it's dry enough here that the sugars in the corn intensified. I have never eaten such sweet corn. It really is almost too sweet!
The piggies are going to love the cobs, etc. as are the cows. That is sure to sweeten the milk!

Corn husk dolls are so fun to make. One year I dyed some of the husks for a different look and you can just paint a cute pattern on the dolls dresses for a change or add an apron

For the dried indian corn I used some of the kernels for jewelry, beads, and to make mini mosaic pictures

As soon as my husks dry i will make some corn husk wreaths, some garlands and my version of flowers
My version of flowers is I leave them on the cobb bottom and let dry. Then I cut them leaving about 2 to 2 1/2 inches of husk. I carefully shed the husk pieces and crinkle them so they have a full look. You will get a fluffy flower look. I either dye the entire flower or paint the tips. Its a fast craft and cute look
