A funny thing happened in the garden!

On Saturday morning I went out to the car and saw what looked like a dead mouse laying at the end of the garden!
I thought about picking him up (I am forever grateful I didn't!)
I ran my errand and came back home and looked for the mouse. Much to my surprise the mouse was on his feet!
Can you imagine if I tried to pick it up and it moved? That would have really scared me!

@dipat2005 It could have possibly bit you too, because it would have challenged you for the being scared title. That happening could have caused all sorts of issues.
I am very glad you left it where it was!

@dipat2005 I can imagine! If I'd have picked it up and found out it was alive, I would have been screaming! But then I would have never picked it up! I would have gotten a shovel to move it.

@dipat2005 an Opossum mouse, playing dead

@dipat2005 I have cleaned up my fair share of dead mice over the years. I couldn't imagine if one of them had still been alive. I'm with @kbmbillups1 I have usually used a shovel or something to scoop them up.

@dipat2005 LOL I can only imagine!! Glad you left it alone!!

@water2world thanks me too! Maybe it should be named. What strange things have happened in your garden?@torey
@Michelle D thank you a shovel is a much better idea!

The story of a zombie mouse 😂
-
I usually pick them up by the tail if they are alive, then put them outside if they are in my house. They don't seem to be able to reach me when I'm holding them by their tail. But I always wear gloves to pick up wild mice.
Too funny: a possum zombie mouse!

Once when I was around 12, we had caught a mouse by the tail in one of those mouse traps that snap inside our house. I felt sorry for it, so I lifted up lever. NEVER AGAIN! It ran up the inside of my pants leg!!! I was yelling and screaming and jumping around! LOL! Needless to say, the mouse ran off and we had to catch it all over again!
It's funny now but it sure wasn't then!!!
