Medicinal Trees: Magnolia and Osage Orange

I did not know Osage orange had any uses except that the wood makes great bows...and fence posts. Gonna have to listen to this one tomorrow.

I love magnolias but I can't grow them here. I understand that there are a couple that might survive in zone 4 but they are expensive trees to experiment with. I've never seen one at a garden centre in this area.
Didn't know anything about osage orange. I see they might be hardy to zone 4 but again, I've never seen them sold here.

THe cucumber tree magnolia that is wild here may work. Osage orange seems to be fairly hardy.
