Hay Sale Scams

This article addresses this problem in Western Canada, but it can happen to anyone with any type of thing that is advertised for sale.

As far as our hay, we know our supplier on a first name basis. I've known him since my teen years. Very good hay, good service, very upfront & honest, and a fair price...and local. It pays to know your source well.

This is a reminder to be very careful.

Wow, I would never consider paying that kind of money for un unseen product from an unknown buyer in the first place. Even if they were to show up there is no way of guaranteeing that what you get won't be old, moldy or dried out to dust.
