That's very interesting. Once upon a time I taught geography and we learned about maps. This would have been good to have then.

I like the take of xkcd.com, the comic strip, on map projections. Some of these have bizarre names, but are actually real.

After everything is considered, I think I prefer the "globe" the best. It's just that it is difficult to hang on the wall and stick into a book in that form. 😆
