Aurora Borealis is Strong tonight

I haven't seen it like this for years. Did anyone in the northern states (Minnesota) see it?

It's been strong with color for an hour already.

They were in all directions as well as above, dancing & pulsing.

Again, I wish we had a good camera. It would show like what we saw & more. I'll try to get some from another camera here.

Picture number 2 below was directly above. I wish we could have captured the movement for you.

I only came in because I was getting cold.

It may show strong early tomorrow evening as well...around midnight in the Yukon.

The reports that I saw on the news yesterday from the previous night showed pinks and purples as well as red and green. It looks as if there is a bit of pinkish-purple in one of your shots.

It clouded over last night. Crossing my fingers for tonight!

@LaurieLovesLearning thank you for sharing the pictures! That must be wonderful to experience. We never see it here. I have heard that it can be seen a few hours drive North of us. There is far to much light pollution here for us to see it even if we weren't a bit to far South.

@Marjory Wildcraft You just headed the wrong direction. 🤪

@Michelle D It was an "awe"some experience. There was hours of this. It was more spectacular than we could capture and the snow was lit up (not in color, lol). I only wish I could have caught a video for everyone here.

It felt like we were in the far north. The last time we saw a show similar was well over 15 years ago. I'm just glad I didn't miss it. I came close, though.

@LaurieLovesLearning oh I envy you. It is one of my dreams to see one. Hopefully, when I see one, it is as beautiful as yours.

So...I read that a massive hole happened in the sun & it's sending a big amount of solar wind our way. Supposedly it is supposed to reach earth by Friday, giving us another super spectacular Aurora.

I have no idea one way or the other, but I'll be watching, just in case.

I (unfortunately? Not a fan just yet) just got a new phone too. The camera is supposedly better. Well have to get it ready, just in case, I guess.
