Pluma Moos (fruit soup) a sweet dish
This "soup" is actually an Easter dish that accompanies the ham. We have used it as a syand alone meal or dessert at times. It's fast & easy and pretty forgiving.
I like to throw in peaches, cherries & raisins with enough water to cover. That's my favorite moos. If the fruit is exceptionally sweet, I add a bit more water. I don't add sugar & I thicken it with cornstarch. I never liked moos made with a milk base.
When prunes were thrown in there, the joke was that there was mice thrown in because that's what one might look like if found in a soup. Pluma moos is pronounced "plooma moose", but if you just call it moos, you say "mouse". Strange, but true.. That was terribly yucky thing to tell a little girl. Thankfully, I learned that it wasn't true.
Here's some recipes for you.
