Physical therapy for the Joints

I finally finished up the four appointments for physical therapy for the hip and knees. I am amazed that it made so much difference so quickly. I have been doing my exercises every day and was very surprised at how quickly I progressed. In six days, I was able to walk better and felt more energized. Now I am able to garden around my apartment without my cane and that too is quite amazing.

In fact, I have been finding a seat at church and then walking around without my cane. I do that on a regular basis at home all of the time.

Have any of you had similar experiences?

I have torn meniscus in both knees, therapy gave me a little bit more range of movement, but did not help much with pain unfortunately.

They only gave me a few weeks of therapy. Not sure if it needed more because of the injuries or what. Guess I just need to keep up with the exercises longer and see if they eventually help.

Had about the same results with my hand after severing a tendon on my middle finger. Hand is still very weak.

@vickeym the pain is the problem, and it is hard to get around. I found that by using homeopathic pain medicine it really helped. I also use myotherapy pressure points to relieve the pain. I am slowly taking the home medicine course and learning about how to use homeopathic medicine. It has been very helpful because I was taking the medicine backwards. I also added another homeopathic pain medicine for symptoms of bone pain. Those might help you too. The great thing is that the homeopathic medicine is sublingual (under the tongue) and gives you pain relief quickly.

@dipat2005 Yes, the homeopathic is wonderful. I am still trying to learn about it. I still struggle with the matching symptoms with remedies. But I am learning on my own. Not able to take any courses at this point, so lots of reading.

@dipat2005 I started doing Tai Chi last July & started yoga in October. Once a week I attend both classes & I try to do a bit at home. What I have noticed is better balance, more flexibility, less pain, better posture & I don’t go to my chiropractor nearly as often as I did!!! Win, win. What appears to be “soft & gentle” exercise, has astounding positive effects our our beautifully aging bodies.😉

@JodieDownUnder that is wonderful to know. I sure don't have good balance but I have been able to work in my garden and carry the dirt without using my cane. It is truly amazing. I usually use my cane but because of the pseudo gout it really bothers my hands a lot (sometimes).

@dipat2005 I’m interested to know what homeopathic remedies you use to manage your pain please?

@JodieDownUnder I did answer this once today already so we will try again. I use Arnica Tablets and Rhus Tox. I was surprised to find them mentioned in the Home Remedy course too.
