Community Challenge #1: Growing Giants

What would everyone think of doing a growing a giant ______ challenge? We could make a list of giant plants and put their growing zone beside. Each member could pick one type in their zone, as well as a "push your zone" seed (outdoors/indoors). Sharing our growing experience as we go could be fun. We could share our results (height, diameter, weight, taste, scent) once they are mature.

Thoughts on this? I hoping that it could be a really fun community project that could bring us together in a common project.

Hopefully this is early enough to be able to include our members in the Pacifica region and South America. They'd obviously get to grow first! @JodieDownUnder, @Elizabeth Voss, @ranjini.tissera, @petalberries, @Riles, @craftycat72, @Carol, @Tanya L, @Mark E., @Tave, @Sherie, @flowerpower *

I bought some seeds that are supposed to grow 6 foot beans. I thought it would be fun to see what happens, so I spent $5 on 4 or 5 seeds. Crazy I know!

I don't know how big my plants can get on a patio, but my 3-year-old hop seeds from Canada have sprouted and are looking good in South America. We'll see.

I have a giant "wild" elderberry bush that produces enough berries to make syrup for the year. It's kinda foraging...Driveway foraging...haha!
