Medicinal Shrubs and Woody Vines: Kalmia, Laurel

We have 2 species of Kalmia in BC. Western Bog-laurel (K. microphylla) which is fairly widespread and Alpine-azalea (K. procumbens) which is less common.
This is one I personally wouldn't use internally but it does have its place in topical preparations. Have you ever used it, Judson?
There is a homeopathic remedy made from Kalmia that would be a much safer way to take this herb internally for rheumatic pains and neuralgia.
Certainly has pretty flowers.

Nope, no internal on this one! Even honey made from the flowers around here can make you sick.
