Lots and lots of bull thistle in my area.

English ivy is very invasive in the south coastal region of BC. There are regular work-bees by volunteers to rip it out of parks where it is crowding out native plants.

I've never used ivy because it isn't readily available as a herb and I've never been able to get out harvesting any time I have been in its habitat. Also, it seems to grow in waste areas that I wouldn't harvest in. But maybe on my next trip to that area I will check out the possibilities for harvest.

You could always grow some in a pot. You can do lots of interesting topiary type stuff with it.
