I sure am waiting for someone to chime in about chokeberries. Something I am totally clueless on. Never heard of them in my neck of the woods but I will get out of here and go look them up. So if you know about chokeberries please chime on in!

I only know what I looked up, and think that this explanation about chokeberry, chokecherry and buckthorn deserves to be posted here.

Making chokeberry mead this weekend with champagne yeast. will send photos, before and after to follow!
I checked the nursery tag on my shrub. It is labelled chokeberry, not chokecherry.
My grandmother used to make lots of chokecherry jam when I was a kid; I spent summer times picking them which were larger than my berries today, so that's how I will remember the difference. -
