this was a few years back, its even less expensive to own a solar system these days. We installed our solar system back in 2006., just over 10,000 watts. This was my favorite project to date though..we started with 7 parking structures in their student lot. and installed over 350 kW on the top of their blue gymnasium building.

    Marjory..that was one parking structure of 7 we built that eventually was built out to cover more parking areas. RSC of NJ has always been in the forefront of renewable energy on campus! eventually we installed over a megawatt of solar panels installed with our EPC firm at the college.

    So as far as the Federal rebates are concerned, how does one get their Utility company to Credit what one uses? - I asked locally, - and their response was, I kid you not: they physically FORCED a "Smart-meter" on our property. Even as they were informed that we are EMF-sensitive. 😯

    That may well cause us to have to move, yet again. Argh!
