DIY Chicken Feeders
Please share your photos of your chicken feeders. I'd love to see them!
My husband built these clever PVC feeders for our flock. So far it has worked out super well! It is a breeze to adjust the height for new pullets, they are really easy to fill using a funnel, and they definitely create less waste. In fact, I'd venture to say we have ZERO waste.
Would you want us to create a DIY tutorial, video, or eBook on how we made them?
Let me know!!!

Those look nice. Look to hold 3-5 pounds of feed? How long between fills for your flock?
-
Also curious as to how much they hold each.... :)

That's a good question, y'all. They hold a few pounds, that is for sure. We only need fill them up every few days and we have 15 girls.

I built one almost exactly like this in my last chicken coop and it worked greate. I just installed a similar one in my new coop, but it has a little roof over the bottom so that rain can't get to it. And yes yes, shame on me for purchasing this new one rather than making it myself. 😅
This one holds 10lbs of feed.

Very cool, Jimerson! The little roof is clever!
Mark built a little awning over our feeder in the outdoor run so the feed stays dry. So far, the feed hasn't gotten wet!

Either way, these things are amazing!

Anymore recent updates? Looking for ideas for my chicken tractor. Love what I have seen so far. Very clever.
