I planted some last year from seed, but it didn't survive the winter. I was looking forward to trying something new.

I've grown it for a couple of years now, and this year added its close relative, korean hyssop. Both are wonderful for bringing in the bees and butterflies, but I've yet to use it for anything. Actually, I think I put some korean hyssop in a recipe as a substitute for another culinary herbs, I just don't remember which one.

Don't give up! Try it again. Mulch the plants before winter. You won't be disappointed.
