    @silvertipgrizz a timely post for me. Since my neighbors water is now contaminated and I am awaiting results for mine. Going to put in a couple of systems to collect rainwater just to be sure. Don’t want my animals to drink this stuff either. Like that I can check out different options depending on what I plan to do. Thanks for the post.

    This is another great source for rain water harvesting.


    We give most of our critters rain water. It's just easier than dragging hoses. Plus rain water can be healthier for goats than well water. Well water has minerals (sulfur/calcium) that effect the absorption of copper.

    @Hassena Don't forget the trash that's in municipal water.....drugs, chlorine, fluoride......

    I got a spigot and the barrel, now just need to check that off my list of things to dooooo
