I have been saving my broken beads for doing a mosaic someday.
-
My husband wanted to cut the bottoms from wine bottles and use those to make one - havent gotten around to it yet though.....!
-
I used to do a little stained glass! Hoping to get back into it one day. All my tools and supplies are waiting for me back in Missouri!
-
@Mary Linda Bittle Well, your stained glass supplies should help your transition back to Missouri!
-
This is the only project I have to show right now. It hangs in my kitchen window wherever I go.
-
I enjoy looking through the glass. There are so many creative color and pattern combinations . I’d love to take a stained glass course.
-
I delay too, but plan to do it now that I have time! Where are you now Linda? I'm in central Texas, but have stuff in storage in Alaska. I really want to get everything together!
-
I've collected all sorts of beads, pottery, and found objects. Just gotta figure out how to use them!

Gorgeous!

@RhondaBusby Thank you! I'm in Idaho now,

I took a 2 night course at the local high school many years ago. We learned to pick a pattern, choose the glass, score and cut the glass, and to apply the lead came and the solder. I found later that I liked using the copper foil and then soldering. There are not too many tools needed to start, but I found that I wanted everything. It's a fun hobby, and not too difficult to learn.

My sister did stained glass for awhile and created some beautiful things. She suffered from a lot of small cuts on her fingers though.

@shllnzl yes, and you have to be careful of the lead and the flux, too. It's not something that I think is safe to do in the kitchen, or with kids or pets around. I had a dedicated work space for a while.
