Grow Lights

I'm wanted to start more bedding plants then usual this spring. Problem is I'm short on grow lights.

Has anyone had experienced using the strips of lights? Seems the price is better but do they last and are they worth it?

I use just plain fluorescent lights. Quite low above the seed trays and this works fine for me.

The lighting is best when it is full-spectrum. You can find some light bulbs that are full-spectrum. They also make little lamps that are full-spectrum for people who suffer from seasonal affective disorder. Avian lamps are also full-spectrum.

I have not used those. I use the chicken heater lamps with full spectrum light bulbs.
