Oyster shells as calcium supplement

In the past, our chickens ate very little of the oyster shell calcium supplement. By putting in a small amount (10%) crushed corn, the calcium becomes a special treat that disappears quickly. The eggs no longer break so easily since the shells have become much harder.

@roytg94 Thanks for the tip. There are some of ours that must not eat the calcium grit that we have because some of the shells stay thinner. I will have to remember that when they start laying again.
