I have just signed up.
Growing mushrooms indoors is something I have on my list to do this winter. This is perfect timing! I will watch the summit before ordering my kit(s).
Thanks for posting @MaryRowe!

@MaryRowe Thanks for this!

I've got oyster spore prints i made myself- i thunk I'll cutthemup and add them to a substrate. Only thing is i have gas heat and it's super dry- maybe i should grow them in the bathroom where there's more humidity. But them that's kinda weird. But i suppose mushrooms grow in the forest which is basically an animal bathroom. So anyways, we'll see😁

Thanks! I've had a few of those kits you buy at Walmart to grow mushrooms. My family has enjoyed watching them grow and eating them. I signed up.

Interesting. The link wasn't working for me this morning.
I put in farmsummits.com and found the page. I will post the url I got here in case anyone else is having issues.
-
I just started watching the summit. I thought I'd post a link to the recipes that Tina Ellor spoke about in her presentation on Lion's Mane.
-
I've signed up as well. Several of the presentations sound intriguing. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms. But I understand they have many benefits so I'm trying to earn to like them.😉
-
Thanks @LaurieLovesLearning it was not working for me either.
-
I'm watching it now.... wow, lots of videos and hours per day! As y'all know, I'm a mushroom fanatic and came to herbs and such through foraging.
-
So far, I think the presentation by Tina Ellor is the best, with lots of information on both medicinal properties and edible qualities. And recipes! If you don't get a chance to watch all of them, make sure you watch this one.
Charles Barber talk really explains the difference between the top five medicinal mushrooms, how they work and what for.
-
@torey I'm watching Charles Barber now. I'll be sure to listen to Tina Ellor next. Thanks, torey.

This is a link to one of the sponsors web page. They have courses on growing mushrooms and a downloadable e-book on how to set up a low-tech mushroom farm.
But don't forget about TGN's Academy course Growing Edible Mushrooms.
-
@torey Awesome thanks, torey. My husband loves mushrooms and I'm trying to figure out how to grow some at home.
-
THe only downside, is now I am CRAVING duxelles!
-
I think I missed this, but am interested in starting culinary mushrooms for personal use. I think I will start with the TGN Growing Edible Mushrooms course. Has anyone taken it?
-
@Acequiamadre I have done the TGN course. Mostly about shitake as I recall. But a good course with lots of resources.
-
Yes, it was good
