AI and foraging books
This showed up in a group on Facebook that I am in. Thought it was worth sharing for our protection... Important foraging alert! In the unending dystopian nightmare that is AI, there are now AI generated foraging books that include incredibly unsafe advice including recommending consuming toxic plants. Below is a…

Trusted Books of our Herbalist Practitioner Members
I would like this thread to be available to our Certified/Registered Natural Health Practioner members only, so that we have a solid list of books & authors to easily reference as we build our library. There are so many resources that claim to be safe & trustworthy, yet may not be. It is easy to be fooled and so, we need…

Don't get scammed: A Reminder to Purchase LEGAL copies
I was looking for the flashcards that accompany the book, Botany in a Day. I have a hardcopy of the book & had been thinking for quite some time that the card set would be profitable to own as well. One of the links brought up this page. It has a link to the actual site where Thomas J. Elpel sells his products. It is a…

Whew!!
I just finished writing the last chapter of my cookbook - desserts, of course, and Rice Pudding because I am old family, NC. Tomorrow, the long process of editing and revisions begins... 220 unformatted pages written in less than 3 months! (probably 300 or so once formatted)

Great site for books and more on almost every topic
Found a website called I found tons of stuff on homesteading, herbal medicine, homeopathy and everything else you can think of. Many books you "borrow" Looks like this means reading them online, older works (before 1927) you can download. There are videos, news stories all kinds of thing. Gonna be fun getting lost in here.

I was rummaging around in some boxes in someone’s front yard, just about to walk away, when something made me dig a bit deeper. Jackpot, scored these 2 beauties for a total of $5. I’m now getting a collection together. Looking forward to…

A special find.
I attended a local jumble/garage sale yesterday, on the lookout for something handy. Well something handy I found. I could hardly contain my excitement, I asked the kind lady how much she wanted, “ $2 for that old book I reckon” I gave her $5 and said “keep the change” I haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face!

Essential Oil Safety book
Does anyone use or is familiar with the Essential Oil Safety book by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young? It looks good but is expensive if you get the hard copy. Are there other less expensive comparable resources? I've taken some essential oil classes and know the safety basics and am always looking to learn more just not…
