Yucca cordage
This is about 200 ft of yucca cordage that I made from just a couple of handfuls of leaves/fronds! You can definitely tell the difference between the pounded and boiled leaves. The tender, inner leaves make a fiber almost as fine as linen when boiled.

Fiber in the winter diet?
I am curious as to how you keep enough healthy fiber in your diet during the cold months when the garden is not producing. In warm weather, I eat a lot of salads, using lettuce, spinach, and mustard. making rope and chord
Hey y'all can anyone recommend a couple of good books on making rope and cordage? I know they taught me how to process natural fibers and make rope in the cub scouts... but I have forgotten!

Granola How do you make it?
I am looking for ideas in making Granola with or without oats. I need to eat more fiber and oats doesn't really like me. Does anyone have suggestions of other things I could use besides oats for the fiber?
