When we went out picking pincherries & the last few stragglers of saskatoons, I found hazelnut bushes. I remember seeing them at my grandparents' place on the way down to the barn and being told I could eat them. Found a squirrel's Hazelnut stash; is it edible?
While weeding my asparagus garden I found a stash of hazelnuts and then noticed many more lying around. Are they edible? They were, obviously, frozen for many months (we're in Ontario).

I am cracking nuts today and found this video. https://www.epicurious.com/video/watch/how-to-crack-every-nut She makes everything look so easy! She even did black walnuts, so I'm impressed. I'm going to find the garlic press in and amongst the Play Doh paraphernalia and give it a try on the hazel nuts.
