Happy little sprouts
Well, I had a pumpkin that when cut open revealed sprouted seeds inside. Some even had green leaves! Being the softy (or sucker) that I am, I could not kill them by throwing them to the pigs or anything else. So, here they are. Last we counted, just a couple days ago, there were 13. Pumpkins on the way to the Alaska state fair
A friend was heading to the fair earlier today and saw these pumpkins heading to the fair for our giant pumpkin contest. Never quite thought about this. I think I'll try cooking and freezing some for fillers in various meals. Quote from article: "Think of pumpkin as a vegetable.
